The Story
Why Cape Town
March is arguably the most beautiful month to base yourself in Cape Town. The wind dies down, the summer heat mellows into perfect warm afternoons, and the Atlantic seaboard becomes your daily backyard. We are gathering a crew of remote professionals to live, work, and explore this stunning corner of the world together.
Our days here are defined by balance. You will find yourself finishing a deep-work session at a sunlit cafe, walking down to the beach for a quick dip, and meeting the group for a sunset braai (the legendary South African barbecue) by the ocean. It is an effortlessly active lifestyle where nature and city living blend seamlessly.
On the weekends, the spectacular Western Cape is the playground. Tasting world-class vintages in the historic valleys of Stellenbosch, watching penguins on the Cape of Good Hope, and an overnight safari to spot the Big Five under the vast African sky are all on the shortlist.
Picks are starting points. Flockers Captain what actually happens.

A Day With The Flock
Daily Rhythm
Mornings start with a run along the Sea Point Promenade or a quick scramble up Lion's Head for the early risers. By mid-morning, we gather at one of the neighborhood's excellent, high-speed workspaces or a trendy cafe in Green Point to settle into our focus zones. The local coffee culture is world-class, so expect exceptional flat whites to fuel your productivity.
As the European workday begins, our collaborative energy picks up. When the laptop closes, we head down to Clifton or Camps Bay to watch the sunset over the Atlantic, a daily ritual that never gets old. Dinners mean exploring the city's legendary food scene or hosting an informal cookout on a rooftop with the flock.

Taste & Tradition
Culture & Food
March brings a beautiful, relaxed hum to Cape Town. The local food scene is a delicious, multi-cultural tapestry reflecting African, Dutch, and Malay influences. You will love tasting spicy Cape Malay curries in the colorful streets of Bo-Kaap and sampling incredibly fresh seafood caught right along the coast.
It is also the tail end of the wine harvest season. The surrounding valleys are bustling with activity, making it the perfect time to visit local estates. Whether we are sharing a traditional braai or dining at world-renowned restaurants that cost a fraction of what you would pay at home, every meal here feels like a celebration.
Field Notes
Before You Apply
Great for
- Ocean lovers who want to combine daily beach walks with a thriving, modern city vibe
- Foodies and wine enthusiasts looking for world-class dining at incredibly accessible prices
- Outdoor adventurers eager to hike spectacular coastal peaks and spot iconic African wildlife
- Europe-aligned remote workers seeking excellent timezone overlap and high-speed internet
Good to know
- South Africa has scheduled power outages called load shedding. The cowork we scout has backup power, and when you book your home, look for a generator or inverter in the listing.
- The Atlantic Ocean here is breathtakingly beautiful but notoriously chilly, perfect for a refreshing plunge rather than a long, warm swim.
- Uber is cheap, safe, and everywhere in the city. Weekend adventures outside town usually mean organized transport or a shared rental car.
- We practice smart city awareness here, keeping valuables secure and using rideshares after dark, just like in any major global hub.
