The Story
Why Tirana
Tirana is a city in mid-transformation, bursting with color, energy, and some of the friendliest locals you will ever meet. It is a place where Ottoman history, communist-era architecture, and a booming modern art scene live side-by-side. Our base here puts us right in the heart of this cultural renaissance, steps away from tree-lined boulevards and hidden courtyard cafes.
Because we operate as a community and not a travel agency, we have negotiated group rates for our apartments in Tirana's coolest neighborhoods. Members book their housing directly to keep costs transparent and avoid markup fees, allowing everyone to live like a true local alongside a vetted group of remote professionals.
When we are not working, we will use our weekends to explore the dramatic Albanian Alps, the pristine beaches of the southern Riviera, and historic UNESCO towns. September brings the perfect balance of warm, sunny days and cool, breezy evenings, making it the ideal time to experience the Balkans.
Tirana, Albania
A Day With The Flock
Daily Rhythm
Your weekdays start with a stroll to a local kafene, where a perfect macchiato costs less than two dollars. We will set up shop in one of Tirana's spacious, design-forward workspaces or breezy outdoor cafes to power through our to-do lists, enjoying great internet and plenty of room to collaborate.
As the workday winds down, we head to the vibrant Blloku neighborhood. Once a restricted zone, it is now the city's nightlife hub, perfect for spontaneous dinners, craft cocktails, and deep conversations with the Flock under the warm Albanian night sky.

September is also wine harvest season. We will have plenty of opportunities to sample local varietals like Kallmet and Shesh i Zi at cozy wine bars and nearby family-run vineyards, celebrating the transition into autumn.
