The Story
Why Bari
There is something magical about Puglia in high summer. Bari serves as our sun-clothed base, a vibrant coastal city where historic alleys meet the sparkling Adriatic. We are skipping the usual tourist crowds and settling in like locals, finding our favorite espresso bars and evening spots together.
Our community works during the day, but our off-hours are dedicated to the sweet life. Picture long, lazy dinners in quiet piazzas, impromptu swims after a focused work session, and sunsets that turn the limestone buildings a deep, warm gold.
This is not a planned tour where you are shuttled around. We share our vetted housing options, and you book directly with the hosts at our group-negotiated rates. Together, we will co-create the month, deciding which beach clubs to colonize and which local wines to taste.
From the ancient streets of Bari Vecchia to the dramatic cliffs of Polignano a Mare just down the coast, you will have a full month to sink into the southern Italian rhythm. It is summer living, elevated.
Bari, Italy
A Day With The Flock
Daily Rhythm
Mornings start with a quick stroll to the corner bar for an espresso and a pastry, followed by a productive work session from our shared workspace or a breezy local cafe. The midday heat is the perfect excuse for a slow lunch and a quick dip in the sea if you are working near the water.
As the afternoon cools down, the city wakes back up. We wrap up our work days and gather for an aperitivo, sharing stories of the day over Aperol Spritzes and local olives. Evenings are long and unhurried, often ending with a late dinner that stretches past midnight.

Side Quests
Weekends & Adventures
Weekend in Matera
Venture into the neighboring Basilicata region to explore one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. We will wander through ancient cave dwellings carved into the canyon limestone and watch the sunset light up the Sassi.
Coastal Days in Polignano a Mare
Just a short train ride away lies the ultimate Puglia postcard. Jump from dramatic limestone cliffs into crystalline water, then grab a panini loaded with fresh octopus for lunch.
The Baroque Streets of Lecce
Head south to the Florence of the South. We will spend the weekend wandering through golden sandstone piazzas, visiting historic churches, and tasting pasticciotto pastries.
Alberobello and the Trulli Houses
Take a day trip into the Valle d'Itria to see the iconic cone-roofed houses. It feels like stepping into a fairy tale as we explore the whitewashed streets together.

Taste & Tradition
Culture & Food
July in Puglia is all about outdoor life and local food festivals. You will see nonnas sitting outside their doors in Bari Vecchia, hand-rolling orecchiette pasta on wooden boards. The local markets are bursting with ripe tomatoes, fresh burrata, and incredible olive oil.
Southern Italian food is simple, seasonal, and hyper-local. We will spend our evenings exploring tiny trattorias, sharing massive platters of seafood, and raising glasses of crisp Primitivo wine as the warm sea breeze sweeps through the squares.
